Pro-Action has a number of Children &Young People (C&YP) Workforce training courses running on various dates from Jan 2012 to April 2012 at locations across Hertfordshire. The courses are designed to enhance the work of volunteers, youth workers and professionals and are held in evenings and weekends to give all interested parties a chance to attend.

Please note the following conditions and please ensure that all staff/volunteers who book onto courses under your organisations name are aware of them:
Pro-Action members organisations can continue to access the training calendar FREE of charge. This membership benefit remains in place with the following conditions:
- If a member of your team does not attend a course and does not inform the Pro-Action office as directed below, the individual will have to pay £15 for first course they attend thereafter – and from then on they will return to the FREE training benefit.
- If a participant can no longer attend a course, written cancellation [a letter/e-mail] must be sent to the Pro-Action office 5 working days prior to the course commencing, otherwise it will be recorded as an absence.
If the booked member of staff/volunteer cannot make the course another member of the organisation can attend in their place at short notice. This will not be seen as an absence

Pro-Action are pleased to announce the delivery of Advanced Apprenticeships in either Youth or Playwork at Level 3 commencing in April 2012. [Please see fact sheets below]
This exciting opportunity aims to increase the capacity of, or develop your current workforce for a nominal cost of £300 [The remaining £2000 cost for the student will be subsidised]. To qualify you must be a children and young people focused organisation whose delivery is aimed at the 13-19 age range (up to 25 years LDD) for Youth Work or 5-16 age range for Playwork within either the voluntary, statutory or private sector. The offer available to your organisation is as follows:
Option 1: Nominate a current employee from your organisation to undertake the Advanced Apprenticeship [Please note the employee must be employed for an average of 30 hours per week pro rata]
And / or
Option 2: To create a new advanced apprenticeship position within your organisation commencing in April 2012. Funding the wages and on costs will be the responsibility of the organisation - support with funding options can be found on Pro-Action’s up and coming funding workshops.
For both options listed above, Pro-Action will be supporting the organisation and the learner for the duration of 18 months commencing in April 2012.
