Midnight Ice Skating

On Friday 2nd December, Alexandra Palace, London over 300 young people turned up to the annual skating event. At 12am the disco lights were turned on, the music turned up and young people started to take to the ice skating rink!  Youth Workers watched their young people go round the ice skate rink at various speeds and soon were taking to the ice themselves!  The young people’s energy kept on going as the music kept playing. The night supplied spectators and participants, laughter, various spins and some harmless falls on the ice, which made the night even more enjoyable.

Sam Rose, Pro-Action organiser commented ‘This Midnight Ice Skating event is fantastic.  Each year we see new young people from Hertfordshire take part, it provides Hertfordshire’s voluntary sector a unique activity in a great environment, it's also nice to see the youth workers on the ice!'

Feedback form Hertfordshire youth groups included ‘Fantastic night, we will come back next year, my ice skating skills have improved!’   Pro-Action looks forward to organising the event again in 2012!
