Pro-Action Member receives NatWest Community Force Grant!

Pro-Action member Signpost based in Watford has recently been successful in receiving the most nominations in the NatWest Community Force scheme.  As a result of this they received a cheque for £6,275!

Signpost provides a free counselling service for young people.  The service allows young people to refer themselves to talk about issues important to them. The funding they have received from the NatWest Community Fund will allow Signpost to work with local secondary schools to deliver group therapy programmes helping young people cope with common problems such as family breakdown, bullying and exam stress

William Allen, Sign Post Director of Operations, commented ‘An enormous thank you to everyone who voted for us to receive this funding.  I hope you will agree that it will enable us to provide much-needed preventative work for young people in South-west Herts’

Sign Post has also just been awarded £12,500 in partnership with Herts Mind Network to run a satellite service in Maple Cross.  This is to address health inequalities and is funded by Watford and Three Rivers Health Partnership.
