We do this by focusing on 5 key themes:
- Wellbeing & Resilience
We believe in:
- Enhancing and enriching support for young people
- Working in partnership where possible
- Identifying and meeting needs
- Strengthening the power of the voluntary sector
- Keeping children and young people at the heart of everything we do
Our aim to ensure that all youth and children providers in the county are meeting the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board (HSCB) requirements.
Our aim is to raise the quality of provision for children & young people across the county so that young people know they will receive the best possible support from whichever organisation or group that they engage with.
WELLBEING & RESILIENCE
Our aim is to support the positive mental health of young people. We offer a range of opportunities for young people via our YAMA brand and deliver the Mental Health First Aid (Youth) courses as well as offering our own short courses to train practitioners working with young people in supporting mental health issues.
We aim to support the children and youth voluntary sector working in Hertfordshire within these areas by offering the following:
Membership - Any group or organisation working with children and young people in Hertfordshire can become a member of Pro-Action. Members can access a great variety of benefits which will support them in providing excellent quality youth provision and opportunities for their young people.
Training - A range of key training courses, of exceptional quality, the majority of which are required for those working with children and young people in a variety of contexts, including Safeguarding, First Aid and Mental Health Awareness.
YAMA - Our own brand, YAMA (Youth Activity, Music & Arts), opportunities and activities for children and young people to improve their wellbeing and resilience.
MEMBERSHIP & IMPACT
Membership continues to be an important part of our overall offer, though our emphasis is upon the services and opportunities we offer to create a great membership package that benefits our wide range of groups.
We will continue to gather data and feedback from all activities to provide clear evidence of the value and impact of the services provided by Pro-Action.
