Pro-Action’s aim is to raise the quality of provision for children & young people across Hertfordshire, so that they receive the best possible support from any group they choose to engage with. We achieve this by encouraging ALL our members to complete a nationally recognized Quality Assurance Award.
As members of Ambition UK, Pro-Action promote a scheme called ‘Ambition Quality’, which our partner has designed specifically for groups working with children and/or young people. We also recognise other schemes such as Club Mark, PQASSO, Matrix Standard, Investors in People and others. Let us know if you have achieved a quality mark award so that you can receive your Pro-Action Member + certificate!
Beginning your Ambition Quality Journey
Pro-Action can offer our members the opportunity to work towards achieving Ambition Quality awards available over four levels as outlined below. Groups can start at either First Steps or Bronze, before moving through other levels and stopping at any point. Awards remain valid for 3 years, with a re-accreditation process available at each stage.
The standards provide a framework for quality provision, as well as recognising good practice and encouraging action planning for future development. All levels are measured against several quality areas.
First Steps registration cost £135 (reduced to £45 by accessing The Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust Funding). 3 quality areas. £100 grant available on successful completion within 12 month
AQ Bronze registration cost £300 (reduced to £155 by accessing The Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust Funding). 9 quality areas. £1000 grant available on successful completion within 12 month
AQ Silver registration cost £250 (reduced to £125 by accessing The Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust Funding). 7 quality areas. £500 grant available on successful completion within 12 month
AQ Gold registration cost £250 (reduced to £125 by accessing The Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust Funding). 8 quality areas. £500 grant available on successful completion within 12 months
There are also some NEW Ambition ‘stand-alone’ or ‘bolt on’ modules available:
AQ/V-Inspired Social Action this has been designed to support organisations to develop high quality social action work with young people and is structured to correspond to the 6 Principles of good social action developed by Generation Change. This can be completed independently or bolted on to First Steps or Bronze (registration cost £80 stand-alone).
AQ Playwork this helps organisations working with children, in a playwork environment, assess the quality of their provision and has been structured to correspond with recognised Playwork Principles. It can be completed independently or bolted on to First Steps or Bronze. It can also replace sections one and two of AQ bronze for organisations who only deliver playwork (registration cost £80 stand-alone).
