Bronze, focuses on the main policies and procedures that all youth organisations should follow to make sure they are accessible, responsible, safe and can meet any legal requirements. All organisations, no matter how small, should be able to achieve the Bronze level, which must be completed before continuing to the next two levels. However, you do not have to move on to the other levels although we highly recommend this. Evidence is collected in an electronic format on a USB memory stick.
Sections covered in the Bronze award are; Focus on Young People, Outcomes for Young People, Safeguarding & Protecting Young People, Diversity, Equality & Inclusion, Staff & Volunteers, Premises & Resources – Safety for All, Administration, Leadership & Management, Partnerships – Working with Others. There are between 6 and 12 standards within each section of this award, which require evidence of your practice.
