As members of Ambition UK, Pro-Action are able to offer our members the opportunity to participate in achieving Ambition Quality available over four levels: First Steps, Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Although part of our membership requires members to complete a minimum of First Steps in Ambition Quality (or similar in sports accreditation), we encourage members to move onto bronze level to evidence their excellent practice, and possibly earn an £1000 grant from Sylvia Adams Trust for doing so!
Ambition Quality is an externally validated national award, which enables youth projects to develop and improve. It is suitable for organisations of all sizes – from one-night-a-week clubs to larger charities and community organisations.
Ambition Quality has four progressional standards - First Steps, Bronze, Silver and Gold; all organisations can either start at First Steps or Bronze level and work their way through the standard as appropriate. The standards provide a framework for quality provision, as well as recognising good practice and encouraging action planning for future development; all levels are measured against 10 quality areas.
Feedback from our members, Fusion Childcare Services, who have completed all the levels of Ambition Quality:
‘Go for Gold, you won’t regret it!
The journey of completing the Ambition Awards; Bronze, Silver and Gold has provided real focus, has been great fun and has really got the children, staff and parents involved, ultimately making all feel valued. The Awards have provided Fusion with the skill set to be reflective and has supported us in evaluating all aspects of our practice and areas that needed to be developed further.
The Awards are organised really effectively which allows a setting to work through each section at their own pace. The criteria is used as a checklist to ensure your setting has the relevant documents/policies/procedures in place and like us, you will notice you already have most things and it is just the case to evidence it. Easy Peasy!
Each award feels like a project and when completed there really is a sense of achievement from all. Good luck, all the hard work is worth it!’ Abby - Manager of Fusion
